500 | g | SOFFICE - Mix for sweet yeast doughs |
250 | ml | Water |
50 | ml | Sunflower oil |
75 | g | Candied orange |
125 | g | Dark chocolate chips |
q.s. | Orange marmalade |
Preparation
- Pour the mixture into the bowl of the stand mixer, add the water and oil, and turn on the machine. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes, until a smooth and homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with a cloth, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface. Gently roll it out with a rolling pin, without overworking it, until a rectangle about 5 mm thick is formed.
- Spread the orange marmalade evenly over the surface of the dough. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips and orange zest evenly on top.
- Roll the dough starting from the long side to form a cylinder.
- Cut the roll lengthwise in half and braid the two sections, keeping the cut side facing up. Shape the braid into a ring and place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Lightly brush the surface with water to prevent drying, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1.5 hours.
- Finally, brush the ring with a beaten egg and bake it in a preheated static oven at 170 °C for about 20 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
