Making Nut Butter
Serving
- Pour cold milk and the water into the pan.
- Add salt and whisk in the spelt flour thoroughly.
- Place the pan on the stove and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Stir constantly during cooking.
- Once the Muas starts boiling, reduce the heat to low.
- Let it simmer for 10 minutes without stirring, to allow the “Schear” to form.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let the Muas cool for another 10 minutes, so the spelt flour can swell and the dish reaches serving temperature.
- Melt the butter in a small pan.
- Continue cooking until the butter turns lightly browned and stops foaming. This creates nut butter.
- Pour the nut butter over the Muas.
- Serving tip: Eat the Muas directly from the pan, as it tastes best that way. If desired, sprinkle the Muas with cinnamon and sugar. If you like, you can sprinkle the Muas with cinnamon and sugar.
