Hemp seeds
ORIGIN:
Hemp grows naturally in areas with a temperate climate.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Hemp seeds contain more than one third very high quality fat characterised by a high percentage of essential fatty acids. Hemp is easy to grow and grows back quickly, it is very robust.
USING IT IN THE KITCHEN?
Hemp can be used in cooking in the form of seeds or flour.
- Hemp seeds are used in cooking in a variety of preparations, such as in muesli or yoghurt, but are also excellent, when roasted, in salads. What makes them so popular is their very pleasant taste and high digestibility.
- Hemp seed flour can be used to make fresh pasta if combined with other flours. As dosage, we recommend using a 5% of the flour weight.
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
- Hemp is often associated with possible effects on the psyche and therefore, states of intoxication. But these effects are not produced by Cannabis Sativa and the seeds extracted from it: only those varieties that contain less than 0.2% THC, the substance that causes alterations in the psyche.
- Hemp is naturally gluten- free.
